Antigen:

Plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 (PAI-1) is the principal inhibitor of urokinase plasminogen activator (uPA) and tissue plasminogen activator (tPA). It belongs to the group of serpins (serine protease inhibitors). Elevated levels of PAI-1 are associated with poor prognosis in many types of cancer (1-5).

Specificity:

MON I-6 is specific for human PAI-1. No cross-reactivity is observed with PAI-2 as tested by ELISA and immunoblotting. No reactivity is observed with any other human plasma protein when tested by immunoblotting.

MON I-6 reacts with PAI-1 as tested by ELISA and immunoblotting. MON I-6 is recommended as the best coating antibody for uPA:PAI-1 complex ELISA.
